Across these builds, the recurring skills were motor selection, basic aerodynamics, and circuitry — each project adding another layer.
07Iteration and failure
Repeated experimentation taught that failed builds are a normal and useful part of design — the lesson that later shaped the disciplined testing approach in the Smart Chair, SmartMed and Tennis Ball Feeder projects.
08How it shaped his approach
These self-directed projects built the confidence to take on larger, structured design work: identify a problem, research it, prototype, test, and iterate.
